Dawson Creek has announced the return of the ‘Spring Sweep’ initiative.
The program brings together residents and non-profits to address gravel, litter, debris, and yard waste left behind by winter to revitalize public streets and boulevards throughout the community.
Non-profits can register on the city’s website to join the initiative, contributing their efforts in exchange for an honorarium to support their causes. Registration deadlines are April 7 for gravel removal and yard waste pick-up fundraising, and April 22 for the community clean-up.
Seniors and individuals with disabilities have until April 11, 2025, to apply for free assistance with yard waste and gravel removal.
The removal schedule will be determined by the spring thaw and the availability of volunteers, according to the city.
