A body has been discovered in front of a business in Dawson Creek Tuesday morning.
There is not a lot of information about the death at the point. But around 8am, a person noticed a body in an alcove of the business in the 11600 block of 8th Street.
A green tarp had been set up in front of the building shielding the scene, until the coroner arrived to take control of the investigation.
A witness told CJDC TV News that a passerby was performing CPR on the person as fire crews arrived. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
CJDC TV News has learned the name of the victim, however we are choosing not to release it to the public.
We asked Dawson Creek RCMP if the death was from a drug overdose. Mounties could not comment as the BC Coroner’s Service is now in charge of the investigation.
