Elections Canada is apologizing to residents of Fort St John after voting information cards were mailed with incorrect information.

Elections Canada said that the cards mailed to Fort St. John residents contained the wrong hours to vote on election day. The cards say that voting hours are from 7:30am to 7:30pm.

However election officials say, that was an unfortunate misprint and are apologizing for the confusion. The actual hours to vote on election day are from 7am to 7pm.

“If there is any doubt, go online to the Elections Canada website and enter your address. You will find all the updated and accurate information that you will need to vote,” said Jame Hale with Elections Canada.

Hale points out that the misinformation only applies to cards mailed to residents in Fort St. John

As for advance voting, that begins on Good Friday and ends on Easter Monday.

In Fort St. John, advance voting will take place at the Fort St. John curling rink on 96th Street, from 9am to 9pm.

In Dawson Creek, you can vote early at Network Ministries on 13th Street from 7:00am to 7:00pm.

Canadians go to the polls on April 28th.
