Have you ever had a question you were dying to ask of a police officer? Here’s a great opportunity to do just that.

The Fort St John RCMP invite the public to come have coffee with a cop on Wednesday, April 23, from 9am to 11am.

Coffee with a Cop is an international initiative that aims to improve trust and build relationships one cup of coffee at a time.

“One of the best parts of my current role is connecting with the public in a positive way,” said Constable Caitlyn Rissanen, Indigenous Policing Service, Fort St John RCMP.

This event breaks down barriers and enhances relationships between police and community members by providing opportunity for informal one-on-one interactions to ask questions and get to know their local police.

Rissanen added, “I participated in Coffee with a Cop in my previous detachment and look forward to connecting with the community Fort St John.”

Multiple members of the Fort St John RCMP, along with the new detachment commander will be on hand.

Coffee with a Co is in partnership with Farmhouse on Main, located at 10044 100th Street, Fort St John,
