In light of the recent cyber attack, residents of Fort St. John will have some extra time to pay their utility bills.

The city has announced a delay in sending out February statements due to the disruption caused by a ransomware attack that crippled city services since late last month.

The city assured residents that those who have yet to receive their February bill can expect to get it by next week. Late penalties for this billing cycle, which were originally due on March 31st, will be waived due to the delay.

While most city services have been restored, the ‘My City Hall Portal’ for making payments online remains down.
