Help is being provided for tenants who were forced from their homes, after an apartment fire in Fort St. John last Friday.

The Veronica Apartments building was set on fire, after a man shot at two people and then killed himself by driving his car into the burning building.

Now, The Fort St. John Women’s Resource Centre is offering free food, clothing and hygiene products to those in need.

“Whether it’s men and woman, if they haven’t used are services before, we are here to help,” said Estefania Albornoz with the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Centre

The Fort St. John Women’s Resource Centre is also accepting donations to help displaced residents.

The building was severely damaged in the fire. It’s unclear at this point when, or if the residents will be able to return home.
