A frightening incident in Dawson Creek in the early morning hour of Friday. One man is in police custody after a young girl was allegedly kidnapped.
Dawson Creek RCMP responded to a dropped 9-1-1- call around 4 am. They were able to make contact with the girl and later found her in the 11,000 block of 13th Street.
Sources tell CJDC TV News that the victim did not suffer any injuries reported to the victim.
David Dennis was later located by police and taken into custody. Dennis is facing one count of kidnapping and one count of invitation to sexual touching under the age of 16.
