CJDC-TV has learned that a pick-up truck, police believe was involved in a drive-by shooting last Friday, has been found.
RCMP were asking for the public’s help in locating a dark-coloured 2000s GMC or Chevy pickup with extensive front-end damage caused by driving into a police car while evading arrest.
It stems from an incident on January 17, where at around 1:00 a.m., a home on the 1100 block of 119th Avenue was targeted by gunfire, with witnesses reporting a vehicle speeding away from the scene followed by the sound of broken glass.
Following the shooting, officers located an initial suspect vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. However, the suspects opened fire on police before making their escape.
The vehicle was re-located by Mounties unoccupied, and a police service dog was deployed to track two individuals who were subsequently arrested.
A third suspect, believed to have been driving the now located truck, remains at large.
He is being described as approximately 5′8″ tall with a thin build, brown hair, brown eyes, a tattoo down the right side of his neck, and tunnel piercings in both ears.
Authorities warn that he should not be approached and urge anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately.
