Two suspects charged after alleged drive-by shooting in Dawson Creek

A residence on 119th Avenue is behind police tape after shots were fire at the house in Dawson Creek.

Charges have been laid in an alleged drive-by shooting that took place in Dawson Creek Friday.

Jesse Bujold is facing one count of flight from police and careless use of a fireman. Jasmin Vigfusson is facing one count of careless use of a firearm.

Police say on January 17 at around 1:00 a.m., a home in the 1100 block of 119th Avenue was allegedly targeted by gunfire.

Witnesses reported a vehicle speeding away from the scene followed by the sound of broken glass.

The vehicle was found by Mounties unoccupied, and a police service dog was deployed to track two individuals, who were subsequently arrested.

Police are still looking for a third suspect who allegedly opened fire on officers before making his escape.

He is being described as approximately 5′8″ tall with a thin build, brown hair, brown eyes, a tattoo down the right side of his neck, and tunnel piercings in both ears.

Authorities warn that he should not be approached and urge anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately.

Bujold and Vigfusson are both expected in court Tuesday for a bail hearing.
