Fort St. John RCMP are thanking the public for their help in finding a suspect with a long criminal history, wanted on outstanding warrants in Dawson Creek and Beaverlodge Alberta.
Devin Calliou was wanted for charges including two counts of breaching a release order and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Despite being charged over 20 times in the past for breaching his release conditions, a judge once again let Calliou out on bail. Calliou was bound by a court-imposed curfew condition requiring him to reside in Prince George. A warrant was then issued for his arrest after police said, that Calliou was known to be breaching the condition and was believed to be in the Peace Region.
According to RCMP, Calliou has been found guilty in the past of along list of criminal offences ranging from multiple counts of break and enter, failing to comply with release orders, and flight from police, to obstructing police, unauthorized possession of a firearm, theft, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and public mischief.
“This man is well known to police throughout the entire Peace Region”, said Staff Sergeant Scott Watson for the Fort St John RCMP detachment. “The cooperation between the public and police should help stem some of the vehicle thefts that have been recently occurring in the region.”
Police had warned the public not to approach Calliou if he was located, as he is known to take extreme measures to evade apprehension.
Calliou remains in police custody pending his next court appearance.
